Very Efficient – Windows 7 Antivirus Software Critique
The Network section covers the firewall, network and email intrusion. The Web section covers safe web browsing, including Identity Safe, which allows you to store passwords/logins for websites. I have been using Norton Internet Security for at least three years. It has always worked very well for me.
I have used Norton for many years, and they typically do a good job. This version of Internet security is no different.
I just received this product and am very pleased with the pricing and the internet security. It was easy to install.
I also recommend NIS over Norton 360, as the latter product is overkill for the average user, and can consume more memory/resources.
It worked on two of my computers running XP and Windows 7. It completely killed my computer running Vista. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase Norton and give it another go - the program has really sped up my computer - works great! Also - the price here on Amazon is unbeatable. This will be my second year having Norton. I can say I'm as pleased as I was with Norton 2010 on this. Basically you can store your passwords and access them using a single password for the manager. However, occasionally, you can login to password manager by clicking cancel and not entering the password! As soon I installed it, it detected 2 viruses my other antivirus had not detected. The best part is it does not slow down your computer like most of the other antivirus.
As far as I can tell, NIS has blocked every virus exploit attempt- I have never had any issues. Also, I think the 3 user package is a great idea for the money expended.
I have been using Norton for several years and have been virus free. I have used Norton for years and works well. And I totally take it for granted. But that is how it should be with an antivirus program. I am a big Norton fan. Unfortunately, this particular one I already had installed and thought I was ordering the 2012 software.
When you try to start Windows in safe mode that is when you get nothing but a blank screen. sugar free food.
