How To Construct Punk Antenna Heads

There were a lot of fun times back in the eighties and using parties to relive those times is always an exciting idea especially when you throw in the crafts that were around back then.

In such parties it is always fun to make some crafts like punk antenna heads which the partiers can take home with them when the party is over. It will always bring back memories of the punk culture that was so rampant in the 80's.

The antenna head should look a bit scary and making one as such is not too much of a task for your punk eighties party. You are just going to need the right materials starting with the most important styrofoam ball that will make the head. You will then need some buttons for the eyes and some attractively colored pipe cleaners for the Mohawk. Craft glue, acrylic paint and spray matte finish sealer will also come in handy.

The first thing to do on the list is to use your acrylic paints to make the styrofoam balls look like flesh. Let this dry and then paint on a mouth and let it dry as well.

You will then cut the pipe cleaner into suitable pieces that will make for a perfect mohawk. Use one of these to poke the holes where you are going to stick in the rest to make the mohawk.

If the pipe cleaners are pretty slim then you may need more than just one row of holes to make sure that the mohawk comes out looking fuller. Put glue on the pipe cleaner and stick them into these holes once the ball is dry.

When you are finished with this you then spray on the matte finish sealer so that the antenna balls will be more resistant to the weather.

The last task will be to stick on the buttons for the eyes and you can then use the fake beads for any of the accessories you would like your punk antenna head to have like earrings or just for decorative purposes.
